About Meanwoood Methodist Church building

This is a  large Victorian church, which opened in 1881. The previous church opened in 1811 so Meanwood recently celebrated 200 years of worship on this site. The church is built on a hill with the front access leading directly into the church, whilst the side access leads into the large premises and hall underneath.

It is situated in the middle of Meanwood at a busy road junction. Recently the church has joined the 'Churches Together in Meanwood', with the local Church of England (Trinity) and United Reformed church. Trinity and Meanwood have a longstanding arrangement of joint Remembrance Sunday services.

Please note, From October 2014, this building has been closed and we are currently worshipping at Holy Trinity Meanwood
